A kebab shop owner from Wolverhampton was discovered still preparing food as an employees corpse lay just feet away. The owner of the Pappu Sweet Centre and Catering was fined nearly £4,000 and banned from ever working with food again.

A Magistrates Court was told that when police arrived at the shop they found Mr Singh making kebabs, a man smoking and spitting on the dirty floor, flies landing on thawing meat and described an awful smell. The dead body was lay on a sofa at the rear of the main kitchen and was found not to have died suspiciously.

Police searched the Funny Boyz takeaway in Blackpool, but a body was never found. The story led to the Metro Newspaper using the memorable headline “Girl’s Body Was Put In Kebabs”.

In an attempt to backtrack from the original statement she revealed that she had recently been out in the evening to “Buy a kebab in Peckham”.

The Daily Mail discovered that the Kebab Shop Jacqui Smith visited was Katie’s Kebabs. They interviewed Ender Ginel, the owner of the shop about the visit and found that she was accompanied by a bodyguard at the time.
